Overnight Stargazing Experience - Please read before booking.
Ever wondered what Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) feels like after the last train has left?
Join award-winning astrophotographers Kat Lawman and Gareth Mon Jones from Adventure Nightscapes for an unforgettable overnight adventure beneath some of the best dark skies in the UK. Experience the sunset from the summit of Yr Wyddfa, explore the stars and Milky Way during a primary Dark Sky night, and enjoy a guided night walk to Garnedd Ugain (2nd highest peak in Eryri) all beneath the stars. Wake to a spectacular sunrise from the highest peak in Wales and England, creating a truly unique mountain experience.

- Return travel to the summit aboard our Traditional Diesel Service.
- Watch the sunset from the summit.
- A guided exploration of the night sky using laser pointers to identify and bring the constellations to life. Discover the wonders of the Milky Way, learn about the stars above us, and take a closer look at the night sky through binoculars and telescopes provided during the experience.
- Have the unique opportunity to hold a real meteorite and experience a piece of space history in your hands.
- Learn how to photograph the night sky with professional photographers.
- Optional guided latenight walk to Garnedd Ugain (2nd highest peak in Eryri). Suitable clothing to be brought with you for a mountain environment. A head torch will be provided and is yours to keep.
- Evening meal and breakfast included, with additional food and drinks available to purchase.
- Enjoy a unique overnight stay at Hafod Eryri, the iconic summit building of Yr Wyddfa. Overnight accommodation will be provided in the main summit venue room, with an open-plan sleeping area rather than individual rooms or private sleeping spaces. A camping mat and pillow will be provided, but guests will need to bring their own sleeping bag. Toilet facilities are available at the summit; however, showers are not provided.

Animals - Due to the nature of this experience, we are unable to accommodate animals at this event.
Accessibility - Guests with any disability, medical condition, sensory requirement, mobility requirement, or any other circumstance that may affect their safe participation are encouraged to contact Snowdon Mountain Railway before booking. We will always aim to make reasonable adjustments wherever practical to support your participation and help you enjoy the experience.
Please be aware that, due to the unique mountain environment and the nature of this experience, including heritage railway vehicles, uneven terrain, darkness, changing weather conditions, walking routes, and emergency arrangements, some elements may not be fully accessible for everyone.

· an absence of cloud, mist, rain, wind, atmospheric haze or reduced visibility;
· visibility of any particular star, planet, constellation, meteor, satellite, astronomical event or other object;
· visibility of sunset, sunrise, the Milky Way or any particular mountain view;
· particular photographic or astrophotographic conditions;
· that astronomical objects will appear in the positions or at the times described in promotional material;
· uninterrupted telescope or binocular use; or
· that all planned outdoor activities can take place.
Approximately 48 hours before the event, we will review the most up-to-date weather, mountain and astronomical forecasts reasonably available to us. This may include cloud cover, visibility, precipitation, temperature, wind speed, wind chill, ground conditions and railway operating forecasts. Where, following our review before the event, we reasonably consider that forecast conditions would make the experience unsafe, unviable or would materially prevent us from delivering its principal activities, we may reschedule the event. We will contact you if this is this case.
